Obituary of Beverly Diane Hoy Hamley

Beverly Diane Hoy Hamley, 86, passed away Saturday, October 20, 2018 at her residence. Ms. Hamley was born January 1, 1932 in Holtville, California to Howard Linn and Frieda Anne Kolkhorst Hoy.  The family will have a private memorial service at a later date.

 

As a single mother she worked on her college degree while raising her four children.  She was a retired secretary and bookkeeper, 25 year resident of Mt. Pleasant and a member of the Methodist faith.  Her passions were reading, knitting, crocheting, gardening, and traveling having visited all 50 states and Eastern Asia.

 

Ms. Hamley is survived by son, Russell Hamley and wife, Vickie of Jersey Village, TX; daughters, Eileen Hinson and husband, Stan of Grapevine, TX, Carolyn Turner and husband, Bill of Mt. Pleasant, TX and Deverie McFerrin and husband, Mickey of Yantis, TX; brother, Howard Hoy and wife, Nancy of Minnetonka, MN; sister, Audrey Bailey of Santa Maria, CA; eight grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

 

She is preceded in death by her father, Howard Linn Hoy and mother, Frieda Anne Hoy; and sister, Kathryn Forbes.

 

No formal visitation is scheduled.

 

The family would like to thank the staff of Heart to Heart Hospice and TRMC ICU nurses for their kind and loving care.
