To Robbie's family..... I was so saddened to hear of his passing yesterday. I worked with him for many years at AWA and appreciate the kindness he always shared with me. He was a pleasure to work with and always willing to help cover a flight or a shift.
GREAT MAN!
God speed Robbie and thank you for sharing such a kind spirit.

Robbie built my husband's RV 7A plane engine and then came to Tucson to take the first flight...... April 27,2010.

My thoughts and prayers are with everyone. Robbie ( Amanda's Dad) was a favorite of mine. He took me in as one of his own and had the patience of a Monk:) We tested it very well at times!! I had the pleasure of knowing him over the past 10 yrs. He loved life and just about everything in it! Amanda would always arrange a lunch or dinner just to see him and Victoria when they would come to Phoenix and visit. We danced at Amanda and John's wedding and will always cherish our talks over a few drinks and of course a cigar. You will be missed but never forgotten. Love you always...until we meet again my friend XOXO

I would like to add my condolences to Rob, and all family members. Over the span of time that I got to know Robbie, he was super kind, and very encouraging to me in regards to my aviation career. I'll never forget the phone call with Robbie some time after the AWA/US Air merger. I expressed my pre merger desire to fly for America West, and he assured me, "you would've absolutely been on board with us." I"ll never forget that as long as I live. My prayer is for the peace, and comfort of the Lord Jesus for this wonderful family.
