Obituary of Lesley Hunter

Lesley Hunter, 75, of Newsome, TX passed away Wednesday morning, September 6, 2017, surrounded by his loving family. He was born February 3, 1942 in Vivian, Oklahoma, to James and Clorine Lawson Hunter. Lesley married Carolyn Farmer on June 4, 1960 in Gladewater, TX and together they raised three children.

Lesley and Carolyn moved to Newsome in 1972 with their 3 kids. There they had a small farm where they raised a few cows, chickens and other animals. He always had a garden that grew in size every year, The biggest crops that he planted were fields of watermelon, squash and tomatoes. He always had his wife, kids and even a few grandkids by his side at harvest time. It was hard work, but they always had fun doing things together. About 1986, Lesley planted a small peach orchard with his family's help. It was always his idea for what crops to plant, but his family would always be there to help in any way they could. Even though the work was hard, he was teaching his kids the true meaning of working hard and what being a family truly meant.

He did all of this while working at PMC Industries for 32 years. He always gave 200% in anything he was doing. He loved to hunt and fish, but fishing was his favorite. He taught not only his kids to fish but many his grandkids
