Obituary of Thelma L. Hicks

Thelma L. Hicks, age 98, of Pittsburg passed away Tuesday, July 14 in Pittsburg. Mrs. Hicks was born December 9, 1916 in Camp County to Bert Roberts and Effie Gertrude Hall Roberts. She married Lacy Hicks on September 29, 1939, together they had one son, Brain. She was a devoted mother and a full time housewife. Thelma and Lacy were long time residents of Pittsburg and members of the First Baptist Church. Thelma is survived by her son Brian Hicks and wife Sharon, of Pittsburg; Grandchildren Christopher Pilgrim and Kelcey Griffin; Great Grandson Gunner Pilgrim; and a sister, Bernice Dodson, of Pittsburg. She was preceded in death by her parents Bert and Effie Roberts, husband Lacy Hicks, and sister Gladys Holcomb. Funeral services will be held 10:00 AM Thursday, July 16 at the funeral home with Bro. Brian Peck officiating. A visitation will be held Wednesday from 5:00 to 7:00 PM at the funeral home.
