Obituary of Pam Barnett

Pamela Kay Johnson Barnett, age 62, of Pittsburg, passed away Friday, May 29 in Tyler. Pam was born September 2, 1952 in Center, Texas to George and Joy Windham Johnson. She attended and graduated Center High School before moving to Pittsburg with her late husband Ricky Barnett. Mrs. Barnett worked for Mike Benet Formals for over 20 years. Following her career there, she worked at the Mt. Pleasant Walmart where she was known as "Scooter" to her friends and co-workers. Pam is survived by her 2 sons: Byron Lee Beene, of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma and John David Herron and wife Ekaterina, of Dallas; a daughter Angela Medrano and husband Juan, of Pittsburg; and two step-daughters, Stephanie Palacios and husband Jorge, of Mt. Pleasant and JoLynne Maisel and husband Jerome, of Ft. Morgan, Colorado. Also left to cherish her memory are her 10 grandchildren: Karmindy Herron, Hollie Bedford, Corey Bedford, Mateo Palacios, Christopher Palacios, Franki Rivera, Brandi Rivera, Sarah Rivera, Rebekah Rivera and Martin Mendoza; as well as her two brothers, Ron Johnson and wife Marsha, of Pasadena, Texas and Don Johnson and wife Jennifer, of Center, Texas; 3 sisters, Kathy Himes, of Nacogdoches, Shelia Gregston and husband Eugene, of Shelbyville, Texas and Cherie Carda, of Lufkin and a brother-in-law Melvin Mouser and wife Ellie, of Pittsburg. She was preceded in death by her parents, George and Joy Johnson, her husband Ricky Barnett and brother-in-law Charles Haskett. Visitation will be held from 6 to 8:00 PM, Monday, June 1 at Erman Smith Funeral Home. Graveside Services will be 10:00 AM, Tuesday, June 2 at New Mine Cemetery.
