Obituary of Neoma Sue Pierce

Neoma Sue Pierce, age 72, passed away Wednesday, February 25 at her home in Pittsburg. Mrs. Pierce was born April 2, 1942 to Thomas and Martha Pruett Pierce in Mead, Oklahoma. Sue was a devoted mother and grandmother. She leaves behind by her son, Tony Hunnicutt, of Durant, Oklahoma, two daughters; Lisa Walker and husband Chip, of Pittsburg, and Susan Renae Currier, of O'Fallon, Illinois, as well as four grandchildren; Kristen Walker Potts, Jessica Walker, Nikki Swearingen, Kimberly Hunnicutt, and Amanda Hunnicutt, and three great-grandchildren. Also left to cherish her memory are brothers; Terry Pierce and wife Rhonda, and Jerry Pierce and wife Charlotte, as well as six sisters Mary Pharr and husband James, Pat Meadows, Tommie Crone and husband Bill, Nelda Pierce Roundtree, Linda Hill and husband Herb, and Donna Carter and husband Barry, a brother-in-law Tommy Burnett, and many nieces, nephews, and dear friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas and Martha Pierce, a sister, Ruth Burnett, and brother-in-law Rowdy Meadows. No funeral services are currently planned.
