Obituary of Omega Lynn McCellon

Funeral services for Omega Lynn McCellon, 65, of Simpsonville will be 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, July 17, 2019 at Simpsonville Baptist Church with Bro. Tim Parker and Bro Richard Wells officiating.  Interment will be in the Simpsonville Cemetery in Upshur County.  Arrangements are under the directions of Erman Smith Funeral Home in Pittsburg.  Mr. McCellon passed away Thursday, July 11, 2019 in a Longview hospital.

Mr. McCellon was born July 30, 1953 in Houston to Omega and Ruby Jones McCellon.  He was retired from Coca Cola and was a member of the Simpsonville Baptist Church.

He is survived by his wife, Hartsel McCellon of Simpsonville; sons, John McCellon and wife, Reta of Bettie and Waylon McCellon and wife, Audrey of Bettie; brother, Ollen McCellon and wife Linda of Simpsonville; sisters, Nelda Oliva and husband, Daniel of Houston, Patricia Bryars of Houston and Darlene Rogers of Livingston; nine grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Mr. McCellon is preceded in death by his parents.

Visitation will be from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, July 16, 2019 at Erman Smith Funeral Home in Pittsburg.
