Obituary of Truman Green

Funeral services for Truman Green, 87, of Pittsburg will be 2:00 p.m., Thursday, May 16, 2019 at Erman Smith Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Tim Schane and Reverend Earl Akins officiating.  Interment will be Rose Hill Cemetery in Pittsburg.  Mr. Green passed away Monday, May 13, 2019 in a Mt. Pleasant Nursing Home.

Mr. Green was born September 18, 1931 in Norphlet, Arkansas to John Felton and Dossie Thompson Green.  He was a veteran of the Korea War, retired T.V. repairman and a member of the Church of God.

He is survived by his wife, Opal Alene Green; sons, Robert Wayne Green and wife, Mary Ann of Jacksonville and John Edward Green and wife, Antoinette of San Antonio; brother, B.F. Green; two grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Mr. Green is preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Myra Green; and sisters, Elizabeth Deason and Laverne Gray.

Pallbearers will be David Burns, Jackson Wade Coates, Rick Avent, Quint Baucum, Matt Ford and Andy Ford.

Visitation will be from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, May 15, 2019 at Erman Smith Funeral Home Chapel.
