A true Pittsburg son and icon. Most pleasant to be around and he always had time for everyone and if you prompted him just a tad, he always had a great story with a little history to tell. He and my mother were the best of friends and I know he had his hands full dealing with her.
God bless his family. He will be missed.

Dick White is a prominent person in my collage of heroes of my time growing up in Pittsburg. Dick was my Sunday School teacher when I was in high school. The night in 1963 that my dad, Herman McWatters, passed away, I distinctly remember that Dick and Jenny were the very first people who came to our house that night. Dick has always been my ideal of how a man should be, and I was abundantly blessed to have known him in my life.

Dick loved deer hunting and turkey hunting with "Pittsburg deer hunters". We loved the fellowship.

My condolences to Jenny and family. Dick loved Pittsburg and personified this wonderful little town. He was a good friend of my parents, Jimmie D and Marian and was part of my growing up. I will remember him fondly.

Dick White was probably the best friend my father ever had. I loved and admired both him and Jenny from the time I first knew them as a little boy. I have many beautiful memories of this wonderful man and wish to express my sincere condolences to Toni, Tom and especially to Jenny. Mr. & Mrs. White were both always an inspiration to me. I will never forget the encouragement I received from them.

Without a doubt, one of the finest men I have ever known. Not only wa Dick a gentleman, he was a gentle man. I believe Dick was what God had in mind when He created us in His image. “Good night, sweet prince, goodnight; may flights of angels attend thee to thy rest.”

My Dad, Murray Maddox, thought the world of Dick. Dick was a good man and in my opinion, the Pittsburg Gazette hasn't been the same since he sold it, however I still have a subscription to the paper and enjoy reading about my hometown friends. Thoughts and prayers with Jeanne and the family.

Dick was very special to me. He gave me my first job as an adult - newly-married and just moved away from home to start my life in a new town. He was a father-figure to me. Dick and Mr TJ were special people. My condolences to the family.
