Obituary of Cody Wayne Thompson

Cody Wayne Thompson, 19, of Pittsburg was born November 11, 1999 in Mt. Pleasant, Texas to Randall Scott Thompson and Carrie Joe Bass McNeil and passed away on February 23, 2019.

He was a member of the Church of the Nazarene and worked in the oilfield.

He is survived by his mother, Carrie McNeil and her husband Keith McNeil; his father Scott Thompson and his wife Bree Thompson; Fiance, Mattie Todaro; daughters, Mackynlee Belle and Maddix Rose; siblings, Braidon Lane Thompson, David Keith McNeil, AuBree Thompson, Tyler and Christina Sparks, and Marvona Sparks all of Pittsburg; and grandparents, Randall Thompson and Kenni Monk of Gilmer and Glenda McNeil of Pittsburg; 1 niece and 3 nephews, and numerous other relatives and friends.

He is preceded in death by his grandparents; Calvin Joe Young, Cathy Sue Bass Young, David McNeil, great grandparents, Thomas and Donell Thompson; uncles Craig McNeil and Stephen McNeil.

Funeral services are scheduled for 11:00 A.M Thursday, February 28, 2019 at Erman Smith Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow at Springhill Cemetery in Titus County. Bro. Randall Crawley will officiate the service. Pallbearers will be Wes Banks, Cody East, Dakota White, Scott Thompson, and Keith McNeil. The family will receive friends between 6:00-8:00 P.M. Wednesday at the funeral home.
