Obituary of Dorothy Nell Chester

Mrs. Dorothy "Dot" Chester of Pittsburg, age 85, passed away Saturday January 12, 2019 in Mt. Pleasant. Mrs. Chester was born September 27, 1933 in Bedford, Indiana to Lester and Thelma Hawkins Cole.

Mrs. Chester worked twenty years with the Dallas County Sheriff's Department as the Captain of the Reserves, and was the site manager for Meals on Wheels in Gilmer she also worked for AAFES for twenty years. Mrs. Chester was a member of the Blodgett Church of Christ and volunteered for Heart to Heart Hospice.

Mrs. Chester is survived by her daughters, LaDonna Ann Hayes, Jeanie Wilson, and Brandy Kinard, son, Richard Conger, numerours grandchildren and great grandchildren, two great-great grandchildren and sisters, Kittie McClain and Carol D Hackney.

She is preceded in death by her husband Max Chester, parents Lester and Thelma Hawkins Cole, a daughter Nancy Conger Thomasson, and a brother Terry Cole.

Services will be held Friday January 18, 2019 at 11:00 A.M. at the Blodgett Church of Christ in Blodgett, with Larry Black officiating and her grandsons serving as pallbearers, with burial at Blodgett Cemetery. Visitation will be held an hour before the service beginning at 10:00 A.M. at the church.
