So sorry that I did not find out of her passing until a month had passed. Martha and I worked together at Walmart. Even after we both retired, we would meet there and have a small reunion. She will be missed by me and I'm sure many others.

I worked with Martha at Walmart I'm so sad to hear for passing I loved her like I love my own mother she was so sweet I looked up to her she has so much knowledge she loved her husband she loved her children she loved her grandchildren and we talked a lot about them I really missed her when she decided to retire it was really glad to see her the time she came into Walmart may God bless you all and comfort you in this time of Sorrow I'm really going to miss Martha

Hello I am sorry to hear of the passing of Martha Hill Porter. I came to Dallas Texas in 1953 and 1954. I had a room Emma Curtis rooming house at 5109 Gaston Ave. The lady that owned the rooming house was Jobbie . Emma had a son named Langford. They were my Texas family. The first time I was ever away from home and they look out after me. Martha would come stay the summers of 53 and 54, We were best of buddies I would take Emma to Buddy and Jerry's house in Pittsburgh for family events. We my family went to Texas and saw Jerry and Emma one time. I believe Martha was away at that time as we did not see each other. My wife Penny and I have three children, three grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. When I left Texas I came back to Beloit and was employed at Warner electric and work 43 years there retiring in 1999. Martha will live on forever in my heart. Although I lost track of her once she left Walmart, the memories she shared will last me a lifetime. A wonderful so that I love dearly. May she rest well
