Obituary of Kenny Nugent

Mr. Kenny Nugent, 59, of Pittsburg, Texas was born July 6, 1958 in Pittsburg, Texas to Hilliard Bain Nugent and Bobbie Sue Seale Nugent and passed away on February 19, 2018 in Dallas, TX

Mr. Nugent is a graduate of Gilmer High School, Self-employed as a dairy and chicken farmer the majority of his life, and then worked for Longview Bridge and Road until 2012. He was a member of Emmanuel Baptist Church in Pittsburg, a member of the Pittsburg Rodeo Association since 2004 where he also served on the board for 12 years, and a member of the Farm Bureau Board.

He is survived by his spouse, Kim Nugent of Pittsburg; sons and daughters-in-law, Brandon and LaNette Nugent of Gilmer, Wesley and Megan Dorsett of New Diana; daughters and sons-in-law, Kelly and Andy Jordan of Gilmer, Jennifer and Chris Styles of Pittsburg, Stacy Dorsett of Pittsburg, and Ashley and Brandon Rogers of Winnsboro; grandchildren, Wilson, Clayton and Trenton Nugent, Zakary, Haylee, Seth, Kaydens, Devon and Jaxon Jordan, Natalie, Nicholas and Garrett Styles, Cameron and Christian Layton, Lilly, Judson and Zoe Dorsett, Marshall, Briley, Brantley and Brecken Rogers (Due in March); brothers and sisters-in-law, Ray and Wenona Nugent and Gary and Donna Nugent of Gilmer.

He is preceded in death by his parents,  Bain and Bobbie Nugent; brother, Andy Scott Nugent; twin granddaughters, Jayden and Grayson Styles.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM. Thursday, February 22, 2018 at Emmanuel Baptist Church in Pittsburg with Bro. Kyle Smith and Holland Atchley officiating. Pallbearers will be Greg Boles, Tuffy Hale, Steve Lindley, Marty McCurry, Kyle Nugent, Larry Shrum, Greg Shurbet, Kelly Smith, Billy Taylor. Burial will follow at Matinburg Cemetery in Camp County. Visitation with the family will be held from 5-7 at Erman Smith Funeral Home on Wednesday, February 21, 2018.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the building fund at Concord Baptist Church 957 Peony Road Gilmer, Texas 75644
