Obituary of Janette Barnard Douglas
Mrs. Janette Barnard Douglas, 80, of Pittsburg was born January 18, 1938 in Daingerfield, Texas to O.B. Barnard and Zella Jones Barnard and passed away on January 25, 2018 at her home in Pittsburg, Texas.
She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Cason, worked many years in a doctor’s office where she served as office manager, and Ladies Auxiliary Fleet Reserve unit 161
Mrs. Douglas is survived by her daughters, Janis Randall of Mt. Pleasant, Judy Hunt and her husband Ray of Pittsburg, and Joy Elaine Reynolds of Mt. Pleasant; grandchildren, Paula McKaughn, Kim Yandle, Shanna McGee, Carrie Scott, Melissa Randall, Jessica Hunt, and Dustin Hunt; great grandchildren, Cutter, Wyatt, Kasen, Cody, Chris, Elizabeth, Trevor, Gaven, Mahayla, Faith, Dylan, Tayton Ray, Caydee, Colton; great great grandchild, Reed Roberts; brother, W.C. “Pete” Barnard and his wife Nickie of Daingerfield; sisters, Pam Smith and husband Ronnie of Hughes Springs, and Venita Morris and her husband Bill of Longview; a lifelong friend, Ouida Fikes and numerous nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, James A Douglas; sister, Ruby Moore, Wilma Upchurch, Doris Adams; 2 grandchildren, Ray Reynolds and Bryan Scarbrough Randall.
Services are scheduled for 2:00 P.M. Saturday January 27, 2018 at Erman Smith Funeral Home Chapel with a private burial to follow at Monticello Cemetery. The family will receive friends between 1:00 P.M until service time Saturday at the funeral home.
Bro. Scott Darby will officiate the service and pallbearers will be Jody, Kasen, Cody, Chris, Tayton Ray, and Justin.
