Obituary of Eddie Ford
Mr. Eddith “Eddie” Earl Ford was born November 9, 1933 in Direct, Texas to Lowell and Pearl McHenry Ford and passed away on January 19, 2018 in Tyler, Texas.
Mr. Ford was the owner and operator of “A Cut Above” barber shop in Longview, Texas along with a number of other shops where he worked side by side with his wife Pat for 33 years. In Eddie’s words, he didn't have customers he had friends he visited with while he cut their hair. He also served his country in the Army.
He is survived by his daughter, Wyvonne Penn and her husband Richard Penn of Pittsburg; grandchild, Angela Morris of Pittsburg; great grandchildren, Briana Morris, Braydon Morris, Dorian Foster, and Devin Foster; great-great grandchild, Ruben Mitchell; 2 brothers, Lindy Ford of Las Cruses, NM. and Perry Ford of Odessa, TX.; 2 sisters, Carolyn Agenbroad of Boise, ID. and Sonja Carter of Amarillo, TX.
He is preceded in death by his parents and his wife Patsy Jo Crow Ford who he was married to for 45 years.
Per Mr. Ford’s wishes there will not be a memorial service.
