Obituary of Robert Lacy Seale

Robert “Lacy” Seale, of Pittsburg, passed away Friday morning in Pittsburg at the age of 80. Lacy was born January 25, 1937 in Pittsburg, Texas the last of five children born to Eunis and Viccie Seale. He attended school in Pittsburg, where he was an All-District football player. After graduating in 1955 he attended Kilgore College and Arlington State. It was at Arlington State where he met the love of his life, Peggie Lynne Payne. The two were wed in 1958 at the Meadowlane Baptist Church in Arlington, Texas. The following year he went to work at Lone Star Steel. Lacy enjoyed a career of nearly 30 years before retiring. After he retired from Lone Star Steel he worked at Coker Ford in Pittsburg for a number of years. Lacy was a member of the First Baptist Church in Pittsburg for many years. He was honored to serve as a deacon for quite a number of them.

Lacy is survived by his wife, Peggie Seale; a son: Randy Seale and wife Melanie; two daughters: Rhonda Lain and husband Ricky and DeAnn Clark and husband Keith; along with several grandchildren, great grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews, and many friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents: Eunis and Viccie Seale; and a daughter: Sherry Ann Seale.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 P.M. Monday, January 22, 2018 at First Baptist Church in Pittsburg with Bro. Steve Packer officiating. Burial will follow at Riley-County Line Cemetery in Camp County. Visitation with the family will be held from 12:00 P.M. to 1:00 P.M. Monday at the church, prior to the service.
