Obituary of Madeline Whitley Smith

Madeline Whitley Smith, of Pittsburg, passed away Wednesday morning, January 3, in Dallas at the age of 90. She was born February 20, 1927 in Wood County, Texas to Stephen B. Whitley and Willie Majors Whitley.

She is survived by her daughter-in-law: Carolyn Smith and Harold Jones of Pittsburg; a grandson: Joey Smith and wife Mackenzie of Rocky Branch; and three great-grandchildren: Allie Smith, Dillon Denmon, and Ryleigh Denmon.

Mrs. Smith was preceded in death by her husband of 46 years, Ramie J. Smith; her son: Billy Joe Smith; a granddaughter: Telly Ann Smith; her parents: Stephen B. Whitley and Willie Majors Whitley; and four siblings: Henry Whitley, Charlene Brannon, Teddie Young, and Dormer Turner.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Saturday, January 6, 2018 at Erman Smith Funeral Home with Bro. Ben Warrick officiating. Visitation will be held from 10:00 to 11:00 A.M. Saturday, prior to the service. A private burial will be held at Macedonia Cemetery.
