Obituary of James Richard Thornton

James Richard Thornton, 67, of Pittsburg was born February 22, 1950 in Marshall, Texas to John Henry and Doris Louise Fry Thornton and passed away December 23, 2017 at East Texas Medical Center in Pittsburg.

He was a truck driver and Christian.

He is survived by his mother, Doris Louise Fry Thornton of Hallsville; daughters, Julie Czarnecki of Pittsburg, Christina Mace of Gladewater, and Melissa Percivill of Longview; 9 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren; siblings, Johnny Thornton of Hallsville, Clarence Thornton, and Linda Carrol both of Harleton; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Mr. Thornton was preceded in death by his father and sister; Eva Jo Harley.

Memorial services will be held 11:00 A.M. Thursday, December 28, 2017 at Erman Smith Funeral Home Chapel.
