Obituary of Clara Thompson

Mrs. Clara Thompson, 81, of Pittsburg, Texas was born April 28, 1936 in Altoona, Alabama to Verbon and Flora Couey Wilemon and passed away at her home on November 28, 2017.

She was known for her cooking, canning, and for the love she had for her grandchildren.  She was also an accomplished crocheter and loved to fish and work in her yard.

She is survived by her husband, Bobby Thompson of Pittsburg; sons and daughters-in-law, Johnny and Joyce Thompson of Ft. Smith, Ark. And Joey and Liz Thompson of Princeton, Tx. She is also survived by 4 grandchildren, Jason Thompson, Christopher Thompson, Sarah Thompson, and Jamie Harlow; 3 great grandchildren, Shayla Thompson, Addyson Thompson, and Justin Brady Thompson.

She is preceded in death by her parents, daughter, Jackie Harlow; grandson, Johnny Carl “Chip” Thompson and her brother, Bobby Wilemon.

Services are scheduled for 11:00 A.M. Friday, December 1, 2017 at Erman Smith Funeral Home with burial to follow at Rose Hill Cemetery in Pittsburg, Texas. Visitation with the family will be between 5:00-7:00 P.M. Thursday at the funeral home.
