Obituary of Eunice Robinson

Eunice Morrell Carpenter Robinson, of Longview, passed away peacefully Saturday evening, October 28, 2017 at the age of 87.  Eunice was born November 17, 1929 in Ft. Lyon, Colorado to Ray and Aletha Morrell.  She attended San Fernando High School in California.  She moved to Texas at the age of 16 where after raising her family, she worked as a supervisor at Mike Benet formals and in her later years she worked in Dallas in the life and health insurance field as an agent.  She was a member of the Business and Professional Women’s Club.
    Eunice was a very caring, devoted and fun-loving mother and grandmother, always making the best of wherever she was in life, adding to her surroundings her special touch.  She was known for her gourmet cooking and gracious, welcoming hospitality to those that she knew.  She had great fun with her girlfriends from Pittsburg she called “the girls”, even when they were all senior citizens. 
     Her last few years were spent at Whispering Pines Lodge in Longview, Texas where she continued to be a blessing to others.  She always looked her best, as she, again made the most of where she was in life, and helped and encouraged others, as well as making them laugh.  Again, she added her flair and special touch to her surroundings with her hospitality and giving spirit.  She truly reflected the love of her Lord and will be greatly missed.
      She is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law:  Sharal and Vardell Madding of Longview,  Brenda and Tony Bynum of Mt. Pleasant, and one son and daughter-in-law:  Tim and Shree Carpenter of Holly Lake Ranch ; 8 grandchildren, and 16 great-grandchildren,  and one brother and his wife:  Eugene Morrell and Merrilee Morrell of Bend, Oregon.
     She was preceded in death by her father, Ray B. Morrell, her mother, Aletha J. Morrell Henderson, and an infant great-grandchild, Liam Clinton Gage.
         A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. at New Mine Baptist Church with Brother Bill Whitaker officiating.  A special thanks to the nurses and staff at Whispering Pines Lodge for their kindness and wonderful care in making her days there ones of comfort.  In lieu of flowers,  donations may be made to the New Mine Cemetery Fund
