Obituary of A. B. Nelson, Jr.

Mr. A.B. Nelson,Jr., 84, of Leesburg, Texas was born January 14, 1933 in Upshur County, Texas to  Acie Boyd Nelson, Sr. and Ona Smith Nelson and passed away October 17, 2017 in Longview, Texas

Mr. Nelson worked for almost 30 years at Lone Star Steel before working as a mechanic and head of transportation for the Pittsburg Independent School District. He was a member of Emmanuel Baptist Church in Pittsburg.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and 5 sisters.

Mr. Nelson is survived by his wife: Billie Nelson of Leesburg; son: Larry and Paula Nelson of Longview, Tx.  ; daughters: Judy and T.J. Ozbun of Gonzales, La, Robin and Bob Dierkes of Carthage, Tx., and Pam and Jim Harper of Longview, Tx.; 10 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.

Funeral Services will be held 2:00 P.M. Friday, October 20, 2017 at Emmanuel Baptist Church in Pittsburg with burial to follow at Piney Grove Cemetery in Camp County, Texas. The family will receive friends Thursday evening between 5:00-7:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
