Obituary of Gerardo Favela

Mr. Gerardo Favela, 75, of Mt. Vernon passed away September 22, 2017 in Paris, Texas. Gerardo was born October 16, 1941 in Juan Aldama, Zacatecas, Mexico to Leonardo Favela and Rosa Rodriguez.

Gerardo was a member of the Catholic church. He owned his own business in Pittsburg for a number of years before retiring.

He is survived by Children: Gerardo Favels, Jr., Francisco Favela, Rosa Almaraz and husband Jesus Almaraz, Carmen Osornio and husband Leo Osornio, Cecelia Favela, and Maria T. Favela; 22 grandchildren, sister: Ernestina Favela; and a host of other family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents: Leonardo Favela and Rosa Rodriguez; wife: Dionicia Enriquez Favela; and siblings.

Funeral services will be held 3:00 P.M. Sunday, September 24, 2017 at the Holy Cross Catholic Church in Pittsburg with burial to follow at Rose Hill Cemetery in Pittsburg. Visitation with the family will begin 1:00 P.M. Saturday, September 23rd at the Holy Cross Catholic Church (former church building across the street from the new church) and continue until the service time on Sunday
