My sincerest condolences to the Pilgrim family. My prayers are with you during this difficult time.
I just wanted to take the time to say that I personally benefited from Mr. Pilgrim's gracious giving through free tuition at NTCC and I went on to get my MBA. His selflessness and generosity will be forever remembered.

My deepest condolences to Patty, Ken, Pat, and Greta. Bo was a great man and he accomplished much in his 89 years. He was bigger than life and I will never forget him or my 18 years with the company. I felt privileged to know him and work for him. Bo will be greatly missed, but I also know he has received his ultimate promotion. Rest in peace Bo Pilgrim.

i just knew who bo was when my family and i lived in pittsburg when my parents talked about him and his chicken business a lot when we lived in pittsburg. i probably met bo once or twice but i just dont remember it now cause its been so so long but i remember the rubber chicken bo used to always bring to pioneer days in pittsburg. i think there musta been some kinda joke behind it cause bo always thought it was funny and brought it to everyone pioneer days. he showed it to my mom and i one day when i was little at pioneer days and thats how i still remember it but i never quite caught on to the joke behind the rubber chicken bo always brought to pioneer days. i still wish i knew what the joke was behind the rubber chicken. i guess symbolic of pilgrims or something??? but i also remember that famous famous saying that bo made up in pittsburg when my family and i used to live there when he always said on tv on his bo pilgrim tv commercials, theres nothing in my chicken but chicken. like maybe there was something else in his chicken like hamburger meat or something else we didnt know about!!!! hahahahahahaha!!!! but i just also remember bo being a very kind kind person, i think i met him one time with my mom in pittsburg at pioneer days i know i did but its just been so long. but i just remember bo being a very very very down to earth kind man with a kind heart and soul who had a love for his family and for his chicken company pilgrims pride. i live in birmingham,al now and theres not one grocery store here who sells pilgrims pride frozen chickens. i kinda miss that from when my family and i lived in pittsburg and going to the grocery always buying pilgrims pride frozen chicken for dinner or whatever. my thoughts and prayers go out to the pilgrim family and just know that bo will be dearly and very missed. katy nickerson

I had heard of Bo Pilgrim and Pilgrim's Pride chicken but had never met him until I was Chairman of the Lamar County Republican Party. I was attending a Republican rally in Mt. Pleasant where Bo was the speaker. After the meeting we met, shook hands, and talked about the Republican Party being the party of family, faith, and freedom. He was a kind, down-to-earth Christian pilgrim. In later years, when I was Director of Trinity Christian Academy in Paris and Bo's son Pat and wife Anne had moved to Delta County, they came to TCA to enroll their son Jake, then in the 6th grade. Jake is now a junior at TCA and Pat is a member of the school board at TCA. Like father, like son, Pat is a major supporter of TCA like Bo was of Christian endeavors in Pittsburg. God bless this family. Dr. Gary W. Ballard, Former Director, Trinity Christian Academy

My deepest condolences to the Pilgrim Family. We were brought to Texas almost 21 years ago and I went to work for Bo on his EggsPlus venture.
I left Pilgrim's Pride 8 years later. However I never forgot my days of working side by side with BO.
My family and I have always been very appreciative of the opportunity we were given. We stayed in Texas and learned to love this state and it stands for.
Over my years in Texas I have always managed to keep tabs on BO. I certainly pray that all family members find comfort, wisdom and guidance is our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Bo will be missed and time and prayer heals.
May God Bless the Pilgrim family.
Once again our deepest condolences from the Riddlebarger family.

Even though I never met "Bo" in person, I feel like I've gotten to know him. I've met him in the friendly and always willing to help people I meet at every Pilgrims plant. I've met him when I pick up a copy of "Daily Bread" in one of the plant lobbies, and I even met him a couple weeks ago when I spoke with a chaplain at the DeQueen, AR site. As a man who achieved such great success, he probably brought work home often, but his true legacy is that he often brought his faith to work.
Our thought and prayers go out to the family;
Perry Harlan and the Process Safety Management Team
