Obituary of Daulton L. Weeks, Sr.

Daulton (Pappy, Yum Yum, Buddy) Lowe Weeks Sr. peacefully left his earthly life to join his sweetheart, Barbara, in heaven on April 12, 2017. He was born on June 8, 1939, in Uvalde, Texas, the 8th of nine children to Jim and Ajulia Covington Weeks. Daulton graduated from Pittsburg High School in 1957 and went on to attend banking school. Afterwards he worked as a banker, a car salesman and was employed at Lone Star Steel for several years. He retired from Stemco in Longview, Texas in 2000. Daulton enjoyed cooking, hunting, fishing and golfing, but in his later years he mostly enjoyed family gatherings and watching his grandkids playing sports. He is survived by his two sons: Lowe Weeks and Todd Weeks and wife Julie; two daughters: Tammy Cloud and husband Mark, and Jill Graves and husband Jerry; 11 grandchildren: Brett Cloud and wife Taylor, Kelli Cloud Barton and husband Stephen, Eric Weeks, Jennifer Weeks, Reid Weeks, Breeann Graves, Jared Graves, Conner Weeks, Kyla Weeks, Macy Weeks, and Abby Graves; 5 great-grandchildren: Aiden and Andrew Cloud, Ethan and Israel Vasquez, and Chris Weeks; 3 brothers: Don Weeks, Jamie Weeks, and Jimmy Weeks; a sister: Patsy Weeks; as well as many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Jim and Ajulia Weeks; wife: Barbara Ann Weeks; a brother: Jay Weeks; and sisters, Mac Kelley, Butch Smith, and Janelle Raney. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 A.M. Saturday, April 15, 2017 at White Oak Community Church in White Oak, with Bro. David Dusek to officiate. Burial will be held at 12:00 P.M. Saturday at Piney Grove Cemetery in Upshur County. Visitation will be held from 5:00 to 7:00 P.M. Friday, April 14, at the funeral home.
