I will truly miss seeing BOTH him and her on an occasion. I always enjoyed our visits as they were sometimes really funny, sometimes entertaining as Shirley was trying to make Harvey behave himself, and sometimes sad as they may not have been feeling well that day. They were very dear, sweet, and genuine people. Prayers to all and I'm saddened that I never got a chance to say hello or goodbye before they passed. Thinking of you all during this time & the coming days.

It is with great sadness that our family has lost one of the most kind gentle men. My uncle brought such magic and tenderness to me as a little girl. He and his wife Aunt Shirley were married for 63 years and passed away two weeks apart. The definition of true love and soul mates. What an amazing life and legacy to leave. I spent many summers playing at their house with my "Jennifer" doll and swimming in their the pool. Having tea parties and reading books. As I grew I wish I got to see him And hug him more I am deeply saddened by the lost of this incredible man. I was only a a niece. I can't imagine the heartache the Hamm family feels. Grief is a funny thing is makes you long for days gone by and wish with no understanding why family can not remain close. Now uncle Harvey is walking hand and hand with his love Shirley and my sweet Mama Shug is so overjoyed to have her precious son back. Probably cooking biscuits and pies in an apron in heaven. Uncle Harvey you can sell me a mansion when I get there. - - - With a heart full of love - for good your niece k.d.
