Obituary of Phillip Wayne Yates

Phillip Wayne Yates of Pittsburg, Texas passed away Friday, November 18, 2016 in a Mt. Pleasant hospital. He was 62. Phillip was born July 1, 1954 in Hobbs, New Mexico. Phillip was a people person; he loved to laugh and never met a stranger. He was also a skilled gardener. Survivors include his son: Chance Yates of Rusk, Texas; his mother: Elna Grider; a brother: Ron Yates; four sisters: Lynda Russell, Jan Dougan, Geneva Raney, and Tommi McDonald; one grandson: Caidyn Yates; and a special friend: Kenny Cooper. A celebration of his life is planned for a later date.
