Obituary of Estella Young

Estella Young, age 81, passed away at her home in Pittsburg on Wednesday evening, October 26, surrounded by her loving family. Estella was born February 14, 1935 in Morris County to Edgar and Erma Silas. In 1951 she wed Billy Joe Young. Mrs. Young was a devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, and was a friend to many. She loved to go garage saleing with her friends and daughters. Estella lived to be outdoors, and especially enjoyed fishing and working in her yard. She is survived by a son: Calvin Joe Young; 6 daughters: Darlene Messer, Barbara Ryan, Ophlia Dooley, Judy Roberson, Brenda Hargett, and Treasa Barton; as well as 28 grandchildren, 57 great-grandchildren, and 17 great-great-grandchildren; along with numerous nieces and nephews, and many dear friends. She was preceded in death by her parents: Edgar and Erma Silas; her husband: Billy Joe Young; 2 sons: Billy C. Young and James Michael Young; 2 brothers and 3 sisters. Visitation will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. Friday, October 28 at the funeral home. Funerals ervices will be held 11:00 A.M. Saturday, October 29, at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Ebenezer Cemetery in Camp County.
