Obituary of Billie Joyce England

Billie Joyce England, age 85, of Tyler, passed away Saturday, August 13, 2016 at Trinity Mother Frances, surrounded by her family. Billie was born January 16, 1931 in Dyke, Texas to Mr. and Mrs. T. L. Linker. She graduated from Arp High School in 1948. In 1950 she wed the love of her life, Don England. During the next 54 years the couple would laugh, love and raise two children: Bill and Joyce. Billie was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She was also an avid gardener and loved tending her flowerbeds, especially her favorite Stargazers. Mrs. England is survived by her son: Bill England and wife Penny of Longview; her daughter: Joyce England Britton and husband Kent of Tyler; a grandson: Don Thomas Britton of Tyler; nephews Brent Linker and Michael Brooks as well as numerous other nieces and nephews and many dear friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; her beloved husband Don England; a brother: James "Jimmy" Linker; a sister: Shirley Ann Brooks; and a niece: Dawn Brooks. Graveside services will be held 1:00 P.M. at Matinburg Cemetery in Camp County with Reverend Dicky Maulk officiating.
