Obituary of Ron Kuykendall

Ronald Lee Kuykendall, of Beckville, passed away at his home Tuesday, July 5, at the age of 49. Ron was born July 31, 1966 in Pittsburg, Texas to James Travis Kuykendall and Deloris Cannon Kuykendall. Ron was a graduate of Union Hill High School in Gilmer and was a veteran of the US Army, having servied in the First Persian Gulf War throughout Operation Desert Storm. Ron was an automechanic by trade, but also an avid fisherman and motorcycle enthusiast. He was a Baptist. Ron is survived by his mother: Deloris Kuykendall of Pittsburg; girlfriend: Debbie Carr; a son: Jeffery Glenn Kuykendall of Germany; a daughter: Branda Lee Kuykendall; also of Germany; three step-children: Benjamin Lux, James Peavy and Michelle Peavy Price; two grandchildren: Shannon Lee-Ann Kuykendall and Anthony Danny-Ray Kuykendall; two sisters: Teresa Huggins and husband John of Perryville, Texas, and Debbie Wallis and husband Tommy of Simpsonville, Texas. He was preceded in death by his father: James Travis Kuykendall; and a brother: James Glenn Kuykendall. Funeral services will be held 10:00 A.M. Saturday, July 9, at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Leesburg Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5:00 to 7:00 P.M. Friday at the funeral home.
