Obituary of Johnny W. Morse
Johnny Windeoland Morse, age 80, passed away Monday, May 9 at his home in Pittsburg, surrounded by his family. Johnny was born January 25, 1936 in Corsicana, Texas to John A. Morse and Hazel Cox Morse.
Mr. Morse was a Union boilermaker by trade, and also a skilled pipefitter and welder. He enjoyed traveling the United States, and managed to see a large portion of the country over the last 50 years. Johnny's hobbies included working on his farm and outdoor photography. He was known for his social engagements, and never met a stranger.
He is survived by his two sons: Johnny L. Morse and wife Cindy of Holly Springs, Texas; and Kerry Morse of Bay Town, Texas; three daughters: Kim Clark of Dayton, Texas; Sherry Peadon of Holly Springs; and Lisa Morse of Dayton; he is also survived by his 9 grandchildren: Joshua Bridger, Julie Morse, Shawn Clark, Kyle Morse, Jessica Bridger, Tiffany Glish, Kerry Morse, Jr., Cody Morse, and Samantha Clark; along with 17 great-grandchildren, and his brother, Gerald W. Morse, of Holly Springs.
He was preceded in death by his parents: John and Hazel Morse; his wife: Noretta Morse; a daughter: Sheryl A. Morse; and a brother: Billy A. Morse.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 P.M. Saturday, May 14 at the funeral home with Bro. Chris Jones officiating. A private burial will be held afterwards.
