Obituary of Robert Hugh Ritchie

Robert "Bob" Hugh Ritchie, 84, of Pittsburg passed away Thursday, April 28 in Garland. Bob was born July 15, 1931 in Norfolk, Nebraska to Guy and Barbara Ritchie. Mr. Ritchie was a member of the Methodist Church and he graduated from Barron High School in 1950; Attended and graduated with a degree in business administration from Minnesota School of Business; served with the US Marine Corp from 1952-1954; Married Beverly Joan Powell in 1952; worked for Amerada Petroloeum, Tenneco Inc., Crystal Oil Company,and then for Quintana Petroleum until 1993 which had him working 38 years in the oil field. He is survived by his wife, Beverely Doubrava Ritchie of Pittsburg, Texas; son, David Ritchie and wife Karma of East Peoria, Il.; daughter, Sherri Albers and husband John of Georgetown, Texas; 2 grandchildren and 4 step grandchildren; 3 brothers,Guy Ritchie and wife Cynthia of Las Vegas, Nevada; Thomas Ritchie of Salt Lake City, Utah; Don Ritchie of Barron Wi., step children, Michael Griffith of Flower Mound, Tx.; Pam Townsend and husband Scott of Flower Mound, Tx.; brother-in-law, Dick Powell and his wife Denise of Pittsburg, Texas. Visitation will be held from 2:00 to 3:00 P.M., Wednesday, May 4 at the funeral home. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 P.M., Wednesday, May 4, also at the funeral home, with Reverend Hill Johnson officiating.
