I am so very sorry for your loss. Death of a loved one, especially so young, is very difficult. I have experienced this and there are some scriptures that have given me much comfort. John 11:11,13,14 states, “[Jesus] added: ‘Lazarus our friend has fallen asleep, but I am traveling there to awaken him.’ Jesus, however, had spoken about his death. But they imagined he was speaking about taking rest in sleep. Then Jesus said to them plainly: ‘Lazarus has died.’” Sometimes we wonder what the state of our loved ones are. Here Jesus explains that they are asleep, they are not conscience of anything. But we also have a hope of seeing our loved ones again. John 5:28,29 states,"Do not be amazed at this, for the hour is coming in which all those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice and come out." Also, Acts 24:15 states,"There is going to be a resurrection of both the righteous and the unrighteous.” Here we have God's promise that we will see our loved ones again. Cindy, my heart is so sad for you. Sorry I can't come and give you a hug. My prayers are with you and your family. Your family has always been special to my family. So glad we had years together. Memories are special to hold on to. May the strength you gather from our Heavenly Father, family, friends, and your memories comfort and bless you.
