Obituary of Frankie Joy Law Blackstock

Frankie Joy Law Blackstock, age 83, of Pittsburg, passed away Friday, February 26 in Mt. Pleasant, surounded by her family. Frankie was born February 14, 1933 in Winnsboro to Tom Watts Law and Jonona Alice Dykes Law. She graduated from Pittsburg High School in 1951 and went on to attend Cosmotology School. On August 12, 1951 she wed Don Blackstock; over the next 49 years they would laugh, love and raise three sons: Reggie, Randy, and Rusty. Frankie was a devoted wife and mother, and later grandmother and great-grandmother. She was a devout Christian and a member of Macedonia Baptist Church for many years. She is survived by her three sons: Reggie Blackstock and wife Linda, Randy Blackstock and wife Missy, and Rusty Blackstock and wife Cathy; as well as four grandchilden: Matt Blackstock and wife Courtney, Chase Blackstock, Caleb Blackstock, and Callie Ann Blackstock; two step-grandchildren: Valerie Lewis and Todd Lewis; one great-grandchild: Aeryn Blackstock; along with numerous nieces and nephews and many dear friends. She was preceded in death by her parents: Tom and Jonona Law; her beloved husband: Don Blackstock; a grandson: Joe Blackstock; five brothers: Terry, Tommy, Billy, Bobby, and Zelon; and four sisters: Ruth, Alvenia, Eula May, and Lerlyn. Funeral services will be held 1:00 P.M. Tuesday, March 1, at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Macedonia Cemetery in Pittsburg. Visitation will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M., Monday, February 29, at the funeral home.
