Betty Ann Harrel,58, of Pittsburg, Texas passed away on Tuesday, January 19, 2016 in Tyler, Texas. Mrs. Harrel was born January 23, 1957 to the late Mayor D.H. Abernathy and Laverne Emerson Abernathy of Pittsburg, Texas. She is a member of the First United Methodist Church in Pittsburg, Texas. Mrs. Harrel is survived by her husband, Dennis Harrel of Pittsburg; daughters, Amy Harrel and Shelli Harrel both of Pittsburg,Texas, Kristi & Jordan Debois of Longview, Texas ; mother, Laverne Abernathy of Pittsburg, Texas ; siblings, W. David Abernathy of Pittsburg, Texas and Mary Lou Spradling of Leonard, Texas. Funeral Services will be held 2:00 P.M. Saturday, January 23, 2016 at the First United Methodist Church in Pittsburg, Texas with burial to follow at Rose Hill Cemetery in Pittsburg, Texas. Visitation with the family will be between 5:00 - 7:00 P.M. Friday, January 22, 2016 at the First United Methodist Church.
