Obituary of Jerry Orvil Rainwater

Jerry Orvil Rainwater, of Pittsburg, passed away at his home, Monday, December 28, at the age of 74. Jerry was born May 14, 1941 in Seminole, Oklahoma to J.O. and Maggie Brooke Rainwater. Mr. Rainwater was a veteran, having served four years in the United States Air Force. He obtained an associates degree from Oklahoma State University. He enjoyed a long career as both a mechanic and car salesman. Jerry was a Christian, and faithful member of Victory Church in Pittsburg. He was a devoted husband and father, and treasured the time he spent with his family above all. Mr. Rainwater is survived by his wife: Leslie Eggers Rainwater; two sons: James Ellestad, of Pittsburg and Joel Ellestad and wife Shiloh, of Pittsburg; 3 grandchildren: Cora Copeland, Joel Ellestad, and Linzie Ellestad; a sister: Lois Woodruff, of Enid, Oklahoma; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and many dear friends. He was preceded in death by his parents: J.O. and Maggie Rainwater. A memorial service will be held at 1:00 P.M. Saturday, January 9, 2016 at Victory Church in Pittsburg, Texas.
