My deepest condolences to your family. In times like these there is a scripture taken from Revelations 21:4 that has comforted me. It states :"And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away.” As God promises we will soon no longer experience the pain of death. May this scripture also bring comfort to your family.

The Bible calls death an enemy(1Cor.15:26) In a sense we all are being pursued by it. We have even witnessed it take our loved ones. The Bible assures us in that same verse that death will be brought to nothing. But for those victims that have been taken away , we have the promise that one day they will live again. In the meantime the pain, the grief, and the feelings of helplessness can seen unbearable. The Bible helps us to understand how BJesus felt hen his close friend, Lazarus died @ John 11:33,34 which says, " He groaned in the spirit and became troubled, even giving way to tears." He felt the pain and sorrow that death brings. He later showed his desire to fight and overcome that enemy, through his Father, Jehovah God, by resurrecting Lazarus.(John11:42,42) In due time this will be done on a larger scale and death will be no more. so until them may these scriptures and the memories you have bring you comfort.

Lollis was one of those people I looked forward to seeing and talking to each year at Pine Hill Memorial Day. Daddy thought a lot of him and I know the feeling was mutual. I shared the same feelings about him. His presence will be missed by everyone. My sincere condolences go out to the family.
