Obituary of Robert Lee Robinson

Robert Lee Robinson, age 79, of Pittburg passed away Sunday, September 27, 2015. Mr. Robinson was born November 9, 1938 in Lamesa, Texas to Monroe and Evelyn Billingsley Robinson. After graduating High School he served in the US Army for a number of years before transfering to the Army Reserve. After his time in the Army he worked as a mechanic for many years before retiring to Pittsburg. Robert was a caring man, who loved his family deeply. He was also a member of the Church of Christ. Mr. Robinson is survived by his daughter, Robbie J. Kirby and husband Clifton, of Mt. Pleasant; grandchildren: Clayton Kirby and wife Tristan Kirby, Michael Todd Kirby; his sister Shirley Robinson Roberson and husband Andy; his best special friend, Janie Widemon and her children, 11 grandbabies and 20 grandbabies, of whom he loved deeply; as well as a host of nieces and nephews and many dear friends. He was preceded in death by his parents: Monroe and Evelyn Robinson; and his wife, Betty Jane Judkins Robinson; 2 sisters: Geneva Robinson and Thelma Nadine Robinson Wilson; and 4 brothers: Edwin "Doc" Robinson, Johnny Eugene Robinson R.B. Robinson, and Walter Robinson. Currently there are no services scheduled. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
