Obituary of LaDonna Fink

LaDonna Fink, age 77, of Pittsburg passed away Friday, September 25, surrounded by her family. LaDonna was born January 10, 1938 in Pittsburg to George and Ollie Goolsby Sisk. She attended Ebenezer School throughout her childhood and graduated from Pittsburg High School. She married James Thomas Fink on June 16, 1956 in Upshur County; together they raised 3 children: Tommy, Jimmy and Barbara. Mrs. Fink had a long and memorable career with Pittsburg ISD, of which she was a retiree. In her spare time she enjoyed working in her yard and gardening, growing a large pea patch every year. She was an avid domino player and especially loved playing with her grandchildren and later great grandchildren. LaDonna thrived on spending time with her family, and always enjoyed a good cup of coffee with friends. She touched the lives of so many with her wit and kind heart. She took cake of everyone in the family, always putting her own needs last. Above all, she will be remembered as a devoted mother and wonderful grandmother. She is survived by her sons: Tommy Fink and wife Cindy, of Pittsburg and Jimmy Fink and wife Kathy, also of Pittsburg; and her daughter Barbara Fink Garrett and husband Mark, of Longview. Also left to cherish her memory are her 6 grandchildren: Nathan Smith and wife Kristen, Zachary Smith, Mallory Cox and husband Jeremy, J. David Fink and wife Kelley, Leslie Fink Burson and husband Nathan and Rachel Fink; and 5 great grandchildren: Bailey Nicole Fink, Malachi Fink, Olivia Cox, Tinley Kay Burson and Tyler Burson. Mrs. Fink was preceded in death by her parents, Ollie and George Sisk, her husband of 56 years, James Thomas Fink, and three brothers: William Sisk, Harold Dean Sisk and Duran Sisk. A visitation will be held from 5 to 7:00 PM Sunday, September 27, at the funeral home. Funeral services will be held Monday at 10:00 AM at the funeral home, with Bro. Steve Packer officiating. Pallbearers will be Nathan Burson, Zachary Smith, David Fink, Jeremy Cox, Steve Wright and John Kaylor. Honorary Pallbearers are Nathan Smith, Kenneth Drew, John Kaylor and Glen Reynolds.
