Obituary of Jack Efurd

Billie Jack Efurd was born May 13, 1927 in Pittsburg, Texas and passed at the age of 89 at his home in Pittsburg, Texas on October 16, 2016. Mr. Efurd was a member and deacon at Fellowship Missionary Baptist Church, served as a Merchant Marine during WWII, retired from T&N Railway at Lone Star Steel , and later served as Camp County Commissioner for 20 years. Mr. Efurd is survived by his wife of 68 years: Joyce Bradshaw Efurd of Pittsburg, Texas; Grandchild: Holly Fouquier and husband Chad Fouquier and great grandchild: Natalie Paige Richenberger; Sister: Peggy Mills;Sisters-in-law: Sandra Efurd & Neva Efurd; Brother-in-law: Dan Collins; Sister-in-law and brother-in-law: Gloria & Kenneth Tipton. He is preceded in death by his parents: John W Efurd and Mary Addie Thomas Efurd ; Sons: Gary Lynn Efurd, Johnny Clyde Efurd, and David Keith Efurd; siblings: Richard Arthur Efurd, John Hart Efurd, Fred Efurd, Leon Efurd, Nellie Mae Allen, Mary Locera Harger, Pansie Costello Johns, Lois Florine Efurd, Gladys Pauline Reaves, Gurtha Jewel Collins Services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, October 19, 2016 at Fellowship Missionary Baptist Church with burial to follow at Crossroads Cemetery in Camp County, Texas. The family will receive friends between 9:00 - 10:00 A.M.
