Obituary of Henry Edward Insall

Henry "Horsefly" Edward Insall, of Mt. Pleasant, passed away Monday, May 30 in Tyler at the age of 72. Henry was born January 15, 1944 in Gilmer to Norman and Lola Bell Cox Insall. After graduating highschool he attended college taking various classes in electrical engineering. Horsefly, as he was known by those closest to him, would put his training to good use in the following years working as a master industrial electrician and HVAC technician. During the course of his work with Texas Instruments Mr. Insall would be able to travel the world working in Germany, Switzerland, Singapore, Japan, and several other countries. Horsefly retired after 23 years of service at the TXU Monticello Power Plant. On August 7, 1970 Henry wed Bonita "Nita" Foster in Pittsburg. Over the next 45 years they would laugh, love and raise a family. Horsefly loved spending time with his family at the lake while boating, water skiing, and fishing. He loved to go camping as well. Henry was also an accomplished private pilot and owned his own plane for a number of years. He had a need for speed and loved working on his Corvette and Hydrostream Vector Ski Boat. Horsefly and Nita were members of the South Jefferson Baptist Church for many years. Mr. Insall is survived by his wife of over 45 years, Nita Insall; a son: Ryan Insall; a daughter: Renee Kinney and husband Adam; a step-daughter: Lori Duncan and husband Vernon; four grandchildren: Jessica Kinney, Jake Kinney, Alyssa Sidebottom, and Chelsea Sidebottom; two brothers: Joe Insall and Dan Insall; two brothers-in-law: Stacy Foster and wife Robin and Lee Foster; two sisters-in-law: Sandy Pearson and Judy Insall; his mother-in-law: Bonnie Foster; as well as numerous nieces and nephews and many dear friends. He was preceded in death by his parents Norman and Lola Bell Insall, and a brother, Buster Insall. Visitation will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. Wednesday, June 1 at the funeral home. Funeral services will be held 2:00 P.M. Thursday, June 2 at the funeral home, with Bro. David Posey officiating. Honorary pallbearers will be Steve Agan, Chuck Cottrell, Alex Foster, A.J. Foster, Floyd Moss, Adam Smith, and Gene Lambert.
