Obituary of Kenneth Mayo

Kenneth Mayo, age 75, of Pittsburg passed away Tuesday, May 17 in Pittsburg. Mr. Mayo was born March 31, 1941 in Pineville, Louisiana to George Cleveland Mayo and Ruby Eugene Threadgill Mayo. He married Barbara Quinn on August 27, 1965 and they have been members of First Pentacostal Church of Pittsburg for many years. Kenneth enjoyed hunting but felt most at home fishing and rarely missed an opportunity to do so. Kenneth is survived by his wife: Barbara and son James, of Pittsburg; numerous grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; two brothers: Don Mayo of West Monroe, Louisiana and Dan Mayo and wife Geraldine of Elmer, Louisiana; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Ruby Mayo, two sisters: Mary Lou Orijean and Alice Marie Mayo; and three brothers: James, Gerald and Billy Mayo. Pallbearers will be Vincent McCain, Kelvin McCain, Donald McCain, Jessie Quick,Jr., Daniel Quinn and Ray Duke. Honorary pallbearers will be nephews and men of the church. Visitation will be held from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M., Thursday, May 19 at Erman Smith Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M., Friday, May 20 at the funeral home with Tammy Nelson and Mike Bridges presiding. Interment will follow at Macedonia Cemetery.
