Obituary of Guy R. Stallman

Guy R. Stallman passed away Sunday, March 20 in Pittsburg at the age of 96. He was born December 18, 1919 in Girard, Kansas to A. H. and Edna Parsons Stallman. Guy met the love of his life with his courtship of Marie Wolfe and they were married in 1942 in Kilgore, Texas. He went on to serve his country in the Army during World War II, returning safely to spend the next 62 years with his Marie. Together they shared their Baptist faith raising a son, Guy, Jr. and a daughter Sherry. Guy worked for Lone Star Steel for 30 years. He is survived by his son: Guy, Jr. of Pittsburg; a daughter, Sherrie Cromer her husband Steve of Pittsburg; and a brother Alvis Stallman of Dallas. He was preceded in death by his wife of 62 years, Marie Wolfe Stallman and his parents, A.H. and Edna Parsons Stallman. A Memorial Service was held at Erman Smith Funeral Home at 2:00 P.M., Monday, March 21 and burial followed at Rose Hill Cemetery in Pittsburg.
