Obituary of Lovelene Taft

Lovelene Taft of Longview passed away at her home Saturday morning, September 23, at the age of 90. Lovelene was born October 31, 1926 in Grand Saline to Claude Monroe Birdsong and Anna Daniels Birdsong.
Lovelene is survived by her son Larry Taft and wife Linda Taft of Longview, daughter Paula Bowker of Gladewater, son-in-law Ken Miller of Houston, four grandchildren: Stephen Taft and wife Michelle, Michael Taft and wife Maria, Greg Miller, and Valerie Sanford and husband Matthew, and four great-grandchildren: Joshua Thomas, Nathan Taft, Emily Taft, and Hannah Taft.
She was preceded in death by her parents Claude and Anna Birdsong, her husband Calvin Taft, daughter Teresa (Terry) Miller, and her brothers Merlin Birdsong and Junior Birdsong.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 A.M. Thursday, September 28, 2017 at Erman Smith Funeral Home in Pittsburg, Texas with burial to follow at Macedonia Cemetery in Pittsburg. Visitation will be from 5:00 to 7:00 P.M. Wednesday at the funeral home.
