Obituary of Willie Redden

Willie Redden, age 84, passed away peacefully Tuesday afternoon at his home in Pittsburg. Willie was born May 8, 1933 in Gilmer to Edd and Maud Mozelle Hicks Redden. Willie was a veteran of the US Army, having served in the 1950s. He was a devoted husband and father, and later grandfather and great-grandfather.

He is survived by his daughter Kathy Pack of Gilmer; three grandsons: Andrew Pack and wife Christina of Pittsburg, Rodney Pack and wife Chelsie of Gilmer, and Josh Pack and wife April of Mt. Vernon; as well as 9 great-grandchildren.

Willie was preceded in death by his parents: Edd and Mozelle Redden; his wife Lola Redden; son-in-law James Pack; and two aunts: Madge Hill and Lola Wilkerson.

Funeral services will be held 2:00 P.M. Sunday, September 3, 2017 at Erman Smith Funeral Home with Pastor Everett Foster officiating. Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 1:00 to 2:00 P.M. Sunday, prior to the service. Burial will be at Macedonia Cemetery in Pittsburg.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations can be made in Mr. Redden's name to Cypress Basin Hospice at 207 Morgan Street, Mt. Pleasant, Texas, 75455.
