Obituary of Oneta Laird

Oneta Laird, 97, of Midlothian, TX passed away Friday afternoon, August 25, 2017 surrounded by her loving family. The daughter of J.S. Miller and Nacy Duncan Miller, Oneta was born February 29, 1920 in Upshur County, TX.

She is survived by her daughter: Geneva Laird Combest of Midlothian, TX; a son-in-law: Griffin Jones of Odessa, TX; 5 grandchildren: Mary Elizabeth Hensel (Ronnie Hensel, Spouse) of Maypearl, TX, Tyrone Jennings of Midlothian, TX, Tracie Perkins (Chad Perkins, Spouse) of Midlothian, TX, Shawn Crane (Cameron Crane, Spouse) of Vienna, Austria, and Cherith Jones of Odessa, TX; and 6 great-grandchildren: Riley Hensel (Stephanie Hensel, Spouse), Rusty Hensel, Jacob Perkins, Joshua Perkins, Jacie Perkins, and Ellie Crane.

She was preceded in death by her husband: Henry Peck Laird; parents: J.S. Miller and Nancy Duncan Miller; Daughter: Donna Jones; and 3 sisters: Rita Laird, Donnie Campisi and Willene Garrison.

Graveside srvices are scheduled for 3:00 p.m., Saturday, September 2, 2017 at Rose Hill Cemetery in Pittsburg, TX. Visitation will be from 1:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. Saturday at Erman Smith Funeral Home.
