Obituary of Michael Sealand

Michael Sealand, age 60, of Daingerfield, Texas, passed away at his home Tuesday morning, August 22, surrounded by his family. Michael was born December 14, 1956 in Grove City, Pennsylvania to Paul "Mike" Sealand and Alice Deel Sealand. After graduating high school Michael served three years in the US Army. Afterwards he worked as a division manager for an oil pipleine inspection company for 28 and a half years. In 1997 Michael married the love of his life, Joyce Robinson.

Michael was a wonderful brother, and an excellent husband and father. Michael was cherished by his family for his absolute dedication to them. He worked tirelessly to make sure that his wife and children wanted for nothing. Although Michael had no biological children of his own he raised Joyce's children as his and was devoted to them. Michael was truely a one-of-a-kind man. Later in life Michael was thrilled to be "Pawpaw" to his 18 grandchildren.

Michael is survived by his beloved wife Joyce Sealand; their five children: Chris Hoon, Crystal Taylor, Ben Robinson, Richard Lenoir, and Weldon Lenoir; his parents: Paul "Mike" Sealand and Alice Sealand of Mercer, Pennsylvania; his grandbabies: Emily, Breana, Samuel, Heather, Lindsey, Nathaniel, Brian, Zachary, Zyann, Michael, Trysten, Tate, Richy, Mckenzi, Jazmin, and Ethan; a great-grandson: Michael Texan Robinson; a brother: Mark Sealand of Mercer, Pennsylvania; a sister: Deb Black, also of Mercer, Pensylvania; as well as numerous nieces and nephews, and many dear friends, including his best friend for over 48 years, Scott Bell.

He was preceded in death by his paternal and maternal grandparents.

A memorial service will be held at 11:30 A.M. Saturday, September 2, at the Jenkins Volunteer Fire Department Community Center in Daingerfield with Bro. Chad Thompson officiating.
